Some music stays in your heart for a long time, but sometimes you forget about these artists … You may have tired out your ears and just know they are good, in theory. But you do not listen to them.
I had a strong Roxy Music period some fifteen years ago. And perhaps even more strongly I felt for Bryan Ferry’s early solo albums. By chance I just bought a compilation album with Roxy Music on the sympathetic record store Fönstret and discovered why they were among my favourites.
The funny thing about Roxy Music is that they might be remembered mostly because they were glamorous, artistic and a bit arty. But the first few albums are so much rock.
A lot of European rock would be impossible without Roxy Music.
